Player analysis: Alex Hassan

Coming into this season the Red Sox are not too sure what to expect out of their outfield. They have the Flying Hawain who is expected to be manning right field and then left field seems to he locked down by a platoon of Johnny Gomes and Daniel Nava. The center field position seems to be an open competition between Grady Sizemore and Jackie Bradley Jr. after the loss of Jacoby Ellsbury, who went to the Yankees, this last offseason.

The Red Sox may be looking to make some in season call-ups and one of those could be outfield Alex Hassan who has some very good power and is a very underrated player in the Red Sox farm system.

Hassan is down there with Bryce Brentz and both are seemingly going to compete with each other for the in-season or close to end of season call-up for the Red Sox. With injuries in the history of Sizemore and Victornio it is most likely the Red Sox if they don't make a trade will have to rely on their farm system this year.
