Red Sox upcoming season

Many people don't know what to expect from the Red Sox in the upcoming 2014 season. The Red Sox are coming off a miracoulous 2013 season after winning the 2013 Word Series.

The Red Sox have made some key additions and let some core players go. The Red Sox have added key players like A.J. Pierzynski, Edward Mujica along with going out and trading for utility infielder Jonathan Herrera in a trade with the Colorado Rockies. The Sox are banking on the facts that young guys Will Middlebrooks, Jackie Bradley Jr. and Xander Boagerts will rise up to their potential and fill the voids left in the field.
It looks like Stephen Drew and his agent Scott Boras will be out of Boston by the srart of the season as they still weren't able to come to a deal. With Jacoby Ellsbury gone to the Yankees the Sox will rely on Shane Victornio to hold down the fort in center and possibly the leadoff hitter.

Boston's first opponent as they open up the season will be in Baltimore against the fighting Orioles who loaded up on Nelson Cruz and Ubaldo Jimenez giving up two draft picks for the two. Boston will likely send ace lefty, Jon Lester to the mound for the first game of the year.
