Twins sign Jason Kubel

The Minnesota Twins have signed Jason Kubel to minor league deal with an invitation to Spring Training. Kubel could end up receiving $2 million dollars if he makes the opening day roster. The deal was confirmed last week by the Twins.

Jason Kubel didn't have a particularly good 2013 campaign only hitting .216 with 5 home runs and 32 runs batted in with the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Cleveland Indians. But Kubel could add depth to the Twins bench and maybe see a lot of time at DH if he shows some of that power he had 2008-2012.

Jason Kubel
Kubel is in his second stint with the Twins. Kubel has hit 104 career home runs playing for the Twins. Kubel's best season for the Twins came in 2009 when he batted .300 with 28 home runs and 103 runs hit in.
