Ibanez, Angels reach agreement

Raul Ibanez
The Los Angeles Angels and outfielder, Raul Ibanez, have agreed to terms on a deal. The deal if for one-year and $2.75 million dollars with incentives, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The wake of the Ibanez deal comes about a week after the Angels pulled the trigger and sent power hitter, Mark Trumbo, to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Last season, Ibanez, a 1-time All-Star(2009), played for the Seattle Mariners. For the Mariners, Ibanez belted 29 home runs and drove in 65 runs.

Ibanez is expected to be slotted into the middle of the Angels order, preferably behind Josh Hamilton and Albert Pujols. The deal with Ibanez is looked at sort of a low-risk, high-reward type of move.

The Angels need to do anything to change up their roster after finish not where they were expecting to in 2013. If the Angels have a healthy team in 2014; they could be very dangerous.
