Mujica bolsters Red Sox bullpen

Edward Mujica has signed a two-year deal worth $9.5 million with the Boston Red Sox, the deal was first reported by Jeff Passan of Yahoo!

Edward Mujica, last season closed 37 games for the St. Louis Cardinals. Late in the season he blew four saves but he also had an era of 1.73 before September. In September he had an era of 11.05 and those 4 blown saves. The Cardinals went with flamethrower Trevor Rosenthal, who was stellar in post season. Mujica did pitch in the playoffs for the Cardinals. In two relief appearances he accumulated 2.0 innings and allowed 1 earned run allowed.

The Boston Red Sox back end of the bullpen may end up looking something like this.
